I have just graduated from a community college an associates degess in Computer Programming and an AAS in Information Systems. My problem is that I don't know what kind of job to apply for. I am a middle age person changing careers now and have always loved computers, so I decided to get an education in the computer industry. I just don't know what kinds of jobs to apply for because of all my skills. I have beginning skills in networking, programming, Web page building, databases, Quickbooks, excel, word,powerpoint, publishing, repaiting computers and many other computer skills. When I look on the job sites though, I get confussed about what jobs that I would qualify for. Does anyone have any suggestions? |

I am currently a student majoring in Computer Science. I think I have the same problem as you, whereas I don't know what kind of jobs to apply for. I think that looking back at some of the specific classes you took in school might help. Which class did you enjoy most? Which class did you do well in? Or maybe you should look for any job with the skills that you've listed to get some experience first. Then from there, you might figure out what you really want to do.
