doesn't it depend on how many prisoners there are, how big the circle of cells is and how quickly the disease spreads? Or at least on one of the above factors? |

Assuming nobody can give signs/ avert their faces/ spit on the floor etc. to another person:
It is known as a fact, that this sickness is spreading among the prisoners. Therefore at least one prisoner should have a green face.
Assuming, that on day 1 there is only one prisoner sick, this person would see no green faces around. Therefore he knows with absolute certainty that he must be sick and leaves.
In case, there is more than one person sick, e.g. two persons, none will leave on day 1, as the possibility remains that the other is the only one sick. On day 2, seeing that the other green-faced person hasn't left/ acted, both will leave.
In case of three persons sick, they will leave on day 3, ...
