okay, i'm an out-of-work software developer, that's been unemployed for 3 months. my typical day is this:
9am-1pm: job search (job boards, sending emails, going to company websites, talking to recruiters and hiring companies, etc...)
1pm-5:30pm: miscellaneous (car maintenance, tennis if the weather is nice [cardio if a can't play tennis], bank, cleaning, etc...)
6-9pm: work out at the gym (3-4x a week), or go out for some eats and drink
9:30pm-1:30am: read/study and tv
generally monday-wed i make myself available for interviews, phone calls, etc..., but i usually leave during on wed or thursday night to go snowboarding (anyone out there unemployed and snowboard?)
this is an interesting change from doing 60+ hours a week as a software developer, but the pay isn't *quite* as good :).
