In Reply To: Back in August I applied for a job in corporate finance with a mid-sized company. I went in for two interviews, then never heard back. Recently I saw the same job posted again. I am still interested in this position. Anyone out there have any advice on whether I should resubmit my resume?
Message: They may still have your old resume so all you may need to do is call your old contact. (I'm assuming the last contact was a pleasant one.) Be diplomatic and don't imply that they dropped the ball by not calling you. Lots of things could have changed in the company since you last interviewed, e.g., a new, additional position, a new department, a new manager, the person they hired didn't work out. Offer to send an updated resume. State your continued interest. Cite specifics why you're an even better candidate than last time. Make it even easier for them to hire you this time.
