Message: Before ResumeBlaster I had gotten zero responses in the online portion of my job search. Within a week of using it I started getting calls from recruiters and a couple of employers. Six weeks later I'm still getting e-mails from recruiters. ***HOWEVER*** None of those recruiter calls has resulted in contact with an employer. In the same time period I've seen several free job postings on the web that have fit my qualifications and had a handful of interviews. Bottom line...It's the shotgun approach. If your resume happens to be fired out at the exact moment there's a target (i.e. job with a particular recruiter that you qualify for), it was probably worth it. I'm not bitter about my experience at all. Recruiters have one mindset. Find the "ideal" candidate for an employers needs. If they consistently send marginal candidates to an employer, the employer will find a different recruiter. My opinion (keep in mind that I'm still not working) is that the "blasting" services would be particularly useful if you are currently employed and don't have extra time to research. If you can research though, you should find recruiters that typically work in your field and contact them directly. Good luck!
