I've just relocated to the NY area after an absence of a few years. I'm just beginning my job search but I think it may be a little tough as my network has dried up some.
Any suggestions for networking/job hunting groups (particularly those focused on financial services) would be much appreicated.

Zuri,
I just posted a reply to you in the "Job Searches" thread above, but I'll repeat it here in case you or others missed it.
Look up the 5 O'Clock Club. They bill themselves as "America's Premier Career Counseling Network." Their website is http://www.fiveoclockclub.com
The group has weekly meetings (which do require a fee over the low membership fee) which provide both peer-to-peer networking and career advice and feedback from professional career counselors. People come from all industries, and finance is well represented. They also have a variety of literature, including a set of books which address many job hunting issues, including how to handle appearing overqualified.
General disclaimer: I'm not affiliated with the 5 O'Clock Club, simply a satisfied client.
