In Reply To: How many of your past jobs should you put on your resume? I have been at my current job almost 4 years, the one before that, a year and a half, the one before that a year. The last job I mentioned is not at all relevant to my career. My current job and the one before that definitely is.
Message: I used to put only the most relevant job history on my resume. Now, I put everything on it. This is because with the shorter resume I would get the interview, but then no job offer. I feel this is because I'm over 40. As a result, I put every job on my resume. That way I'm not wasting my time with employers who discriminate. Also, in this economy, you never know what job you'll be interviewing for. As such, being multi-skilled and having extensive experience can be an asset. This is especially true with smaller employers who need employees that can perform many tasks.
