Bouncing back to company that fired you |

Hi, here is the story and the question.
While in college I worked part-time in two call centers,(about two years at each) after the first year at the second company I began to become bored, burntout, and frustrated with the whole call center routine. I needed a change to a more challenging type of position (as challenging as a part-time job in college can be). My phone "stats" ended up dropping and eventually I was let go-no blowups with management or criminal acts-just a burned out employee. I know I should have acted sooner and that I was responsible.
Okay no big deal, just a stupid college job right? Well now two years and various work experiences later I have graduated and realized I would really like to work at this same company again (obviously in a more challenging position).
So, question: How do I present myself as a valuable candidate in spite of a past blemish? And would this be unprecedented?
Any suggestions or insights will be appreciated. |

You don't have to list all your jobs on your resume, just the ones you feel show your skills.
If they do ask about it, just say that you were focusing on school, which came first, and decided that you couldn't do what they asked you to do and still concentrate properly on school.
