In Reply To: I'm applying for entry-level jobs in advertising at the moment (I'm graduating in May). I was wondering what employers tend to weigh more, resumes or cover letters, or both. Also, I was told to maybe send a "projects page" where I outline my related school/internship projects in more detail. Are there any other ways to get an interview other than just mailing information out and hoping for the best?
Message: They never read the cover letters, but send it anyway. You have to actually get to know them before they will give you a chance. School/internship stuff is pretty useless unless it's with the same company you're interested in or won some really amazing awards. Have any patents? Good luck.
