I am seeking advise and assistance on frequent job changes. Due to frequent company downsizings, I have had a number of short term high level jobs within the past 10 years, with each about 1 to 2 years in length. Over the years, I have become a trouble shooter and a Mr. fix-it. I turn trouble companies around and they either now want to sell them, are sold or basically say thanks, and I have to move on, because I corrected the problem and now that problem no longer exists. How do I explain this? Is this a problem? What advise do you have? Will this be a red flag with new potential employers? I am looking for stability, yet I have not had much luck finding it. |

Just like you did here, and make it a POSITIVE quality -- "I fix things, and then move on to the next challenge." Under those circumstances, 1-2 years doesn't look like job-hopping to me. What could be better than doing such a good job that you are no longer needed?
