In Reply To: Is there any way for you to takke legal action since they did not provide what you paid them for? Contact your local tv news consumer advocate. Even if you can't take leagal action, maybe they will run a story on your experiences, so you can prevent other people from being in the same situation. If they run the story, make sure that you can prove everything you say, so you won't be sued, or ask them to protect your identity by making you anonymous.
Message: I wish I could take legal action, but their contract is craftily written - it states that I agree that I have not been guaranteed/promised anything. And yet during the sales pitch I was told they would get me a sign on bonus to recoup my money, help me with a bridge job, provide me with contact names. I did get a job, but through a recruiter so I can't get a sign on bonus. The brige job help was list of temporary agencies, and the contact names for companies I was interested in was something I could have done myself. In essence they could say they fulfilled their function, but not to the degree that was implied to me. I am considering using the consumer complaint departments of the local TV stations, and also posting warning on message boards. I am waiting to hear back from their VP of Client Services before I go forward.
