I have been wondering myself wheather to call or not, and how many times should one submit their resume? There is a large well known company in my area that has employment opportunities on their website. I would love to get my foot into this company. When I was first layed off six weeks ago I went to their HR department and submitted my resume and filled out an application. Since then I have been watching their website regulary for any jobs that I may qualify for. About a month ago, they posted a job that is perfect for me on Monster.com. My skills on my resume matched exactly what they were asking for. I went in person again, submitted my cover letter, resume, and letters of reference. They have, "NO PHONE CALLS PLEASE" posted on their website. To date I have not received a phone call. The job is still posted on Monster.com. Sometimes I wonder if anyone is reading these resumes. Yesterday, I found another job that I qualify for on their website. I am wondering what should I do? send my resume again? This would be the third time. I did try calling but got nowhere. I do not have the name of a contact person. |

I receive the same resume, by email, by fax, by paper....and usually multiple times over and over again. It looks desperate and I do remember a name. It looks bad....its a bad practice, don't do it.
If its for a different job, do post, sometimes it goes to a different recruiter, sometimes they need to get their eye on it once more and maybe you're a better fit for that position.
Otherwise.....send once. You can follow up a fax with paper, but I tell you, checking the fax, email and everything and coming up with the same guys resume is annoying..to say the least.
