You say that you feel you have paid your dues, seems to me you are still paying them. If all your friends are working at cool jobs then why aren't you networking with them to find a good position yourself? The time for venting is over, it is now the time for action. Identify 10 companies you would like to work for. Don't screw around with HR people. Apply for a job even though the company is not advertising any positions. Sometimes the best positions aren't advertised, they are networked. You are 30, the next ten years will fly by. Don't stay in your stagnant situation or you will find yourself working in the "mailroom" at 40. Is that where you want to be? |

paid my dues, thank you very much. At least more so than most people I know. Ungrateful wretches. I'm really about ready to have it out with my boss, typical yuppie/baby boomer. He was a hippie back in the sixties and now he's a brown noser corporate slave. Someday some of those people will be working for me. I'm getting old enough to see what goes around comes around.
