I was fired from my previous job in journalism 2-1/2
years ago. I have an idea of why I was dismissed,
but I never got a solid answer. I've since been
working in government PR, successfully. However,
I'm now looking to move on to another opportunity
in either PR or journalism. What is the best way for
me to address my firing in interviews? I got my
current job through personal contacts who didn't
care what happened at my previous job. |

It's been my experience theinterviewer will focus on why you want to leave your current lob. Prior job transitions are less likely to be questioned.
However, you might want to prepare an answer in case it comes up. I'd say something like, I received a great opportunity to work in government PR and expand on all the ways it developed you
