HR can't hire you. They can only screen you out.
Recruiters can't do ANYTHING that YOU can't do yourself. Contrary to what many people (erroneously) believe, recruiters CANNOT "PLACE" you in a job. ALL they can do is send your resume to companies. I'm sure you've had the experience of hearing a recruiter say something like: "I haven't heard back from them (the hiring co.) yet. I'm still waiting."
In other words, recruiters are just as much at the mercy of employers as YOU are.
You're almost always much better off going direct. For one thing, if the hiring co. doesn't have to pay a 30% commission, YOU can bargain for a better compensation package. You're also more likely to get an interview for positions where you wouldn't if a recruiter had sent your resume. If an employer is going to pay a recruiter fee, then that employer is going to be very, very picky about who they will even consider. Therefore, in that case, unless the employer thinks you are the "perfect" person for the job, you won't get an interview.
Bottom line: go direct. |

In order to reduce the negative outcome probability, I have to bypass HR people. I heard that advice (with regard to my case) many times from very experienced businessmen and professors.
The question is: how to ??go directly??? How to make people who are not as narrow-minded as HR professionals to look at my CV at all?
