I graduated NYU in 2004 with a BM and took business classes at Stern (Accounting, Calculus, Stats, Management and Organizational Analysis, etc) and minored in journalism. Graduated with a 3.6 & cum laude.
Post-graduation, I worked in a music biz field and made 25k-35k a year (depressing, I know). I've been working in real estate for about 6 mos and my income is $0.
I would eventually like to get my MBA, but my career prospects are dim. Does anyone have any advice for what I can do? I'm open to anything. The only career thing I was interested in was music, and it is way too hard to make a living working in the music business these days.
I wish I could go into consulting or some business-related thing (brand management? marketing?) but I think my chances are hopeless.
Help!! I'm extremely depressed abotu my career and could use any advice.
