I received an offer to work with Fidelity (call center). I signed it last Friday, but am worried because it said the offer was contingent on pre-employment verifications. I recently registered with a temp agency but was turned away because of a bad credit report they received. Now, I'm super worried that I'll receive a letter from Fidelity stating they are resending their offer to me for the same reason. I can't even eat or sleep because I NEED and would LOVE this job.
I need advice... should I contact them first to talk about my worries and to explain the situation w/credit in hopes of them giving me a chance or should I let it go and keep my fingers crossed that it won't be an issue with them? (fyi..i did sign a form giving them permission to check my credit) Your advice will be greatly appreciated!

Am in a similar situation, I pay my bills on time but am heavily in debt (student loans and credit). Do the checks focus on payment history or how leveraged people are or the FICO score? Anyone been denied solely for high debt?
