Background: I am in the process of relocating (August) and looking for a job in the new city while employed.
Question: I have always used thank you letters on the stationery as my resume instead of thank you cards. I??d like to know what your recommendations are. Is a letter too much? According to some career articles I??ve read thank you notes are preferable.
I know it may seem like a minor thing, but we all know how important details are for making good impressions...
Thanks, |

Unless something went terribly wrong in the interview, I would say just a short note. Reaffirm your deep interest (make them give u the offer so you can turn it down), BRIEFLY discuss any topic points that may work against you (i.e. "Once again I appologize for spilling coffee over the CEO and using the wrong the bathroom") and close it out.
How long is your cover letter? You "thank you" should not drag on longer!
Be succinct, sincere & smart!
ciao!
