In Reply To: I interned at an IB this past summer in a more 'support' position, although our summer position paid the same as those in banking, etc...and a group member from my team, who had moved from banking at the company, has suggested/asked if I am interested in pursuing opportunities in it, and been persistent about this idea, which I am definitely interested in....However, what if the above qualifications don't apply to me - top tier grades/school? Will having worked in one capacity as an intern and having a referral help at all? curious
Message: best advice...go ahead and try through him to land a job there...all you need is 2 good years as an analyst then anyone will look at you-most places want experience not just grades/school
