PhD Job Search / Boston |

I am a PhD candidate in theor. stat. physics in the Boston area. I have worked in a financial company previously (TA/Bloomberg API), and I want to get back into the industry along a quantitative track.
My adviser has few contacts in finance, so I will likely be "on my own". I noticed the JPMorgan has a nice website set up for people in my position - but I also sense that going trough a recruiter will vastly improve my chances. If I am correct in my assessment - how to best choose a recruitment firm? I think it may be best to find a local firm - but a number of NY-based firms seem to be a better match to my background. [Can someone suggest a recruiter in/near Boston? ]
Thanks,
pfiz
