In Reply To: Dont directly ask. It is nothing wrong with being concerned about hours because 80 hr weeks are not for everbody. I am not convinced its for anybody! I would just research occupations and discover what the norm is for specific positions. A position within a certain firm isnt going to deviate to much from that.
Message: I interned at an IB this past summer in a more 'support' position, although our summer position paid the same as those in banking, etc...and a group member from my team, who had moved from banking at the company, has suggested/asked if I am interested in pursuing opportunities in it, and been persistent about this idea, which I am definitely interested in....However, what if the above qualifications don't apply to me - top tier grades/school? Will having worked in one capacity as an intern and having a referral help at all? curious
