In Reply To: Tons of people NEED and/or WANT a new/better job & many of them need help to land what they're looking for. Your advice is to go ask a recruiter for how to get a job. But, dear anonymous internet poster, recruiters have ZERO experience in job hunting. They're in the RECRUITING business. They could care less about an individual job hunter. They only care about their client (a company). They aren't in the businesss of helping pepole get jobs. Why would you tell people to NOT get help from someone that provides a professional service for job hunters? You're telling people to NOT get help from someone that is competent to help them, but DO ask for advice about something very important, from someone that doesn't have any experience in that very subject. That doesn't make sense.
Message: Well, perhaps, I should have been more detailed in my response. Here are the facts, MOST of these type of firms are scams. PERIOD. I did say MOST, mind you. Perhaps it is possible to find a reputable person that truly adds value to your job search. BUT BE FOREWARNED! MOST of these firms are scams... PERIOD.
