Message: I'm hoping someone can shine some light. A few weeks ago while handing in a report, my supervisor left her computer on, with an e-mail about me (which caught my eye because my name was displayed) saying that she was trying to get rid of me, in favor of a woman who was the daughter of a friend of hers. My life for the next few weeks was hell. Then shortly after that I received a formal notice of progressive disciplinary action, giving me 30 days to "shape up or ship out", for which she gave no concrete argument, just that she wasn't confident that I could handle the responsibility. I decided to quit 2 weeks ago before they had the chance to fire me, but during my exit interview, I let it be known that I was aware that I was essentially being forced out in favor of this other person. HR implied that they were shocked by what I had to say to the point that they were going to "launch an investigation" into my claims (yeah right), but sure enough, I just found out that the woman she wanted has already started. Are there any grounds for a formal complaint through the EEOC even though I quit? Or do I just need to get over my residual bitterness (I did get a new job), and just trash them here on Vault.com?
