I am a senior manager in the field of process and performance improvment consulting. I really enjoy the work but after 7 years the amount of travel is taking its toll.
Any advice on what alternative career tracks are avaiable or how to address the lifestyle issue within consulting?

Have you tried looking for a position of HR internal consultant in a large corporation. Such positions require almost no travel and some flexibility.
