As a person who has worked in HR in the past, a thank you note works as an effective way to reiterate ones skills and to recap on details that were discussed during the interview. One should always be thankful for an interview opportunity. |

And you should be thankful to have qualified candidates applying for jobs at your company...You should still work in HR with that attitude. There is some credence to the professor's opinion....I doubt many are read.
So who is more thankful - the one that send over an email or the one that sends the letter on real paper?! =)
