Message: So I've sent out several resumes and of course some companies are going to respond faster than others. So how do you tell the companies that you interview with earlier on that you need more time so that the slower companies have a chance to respond as well? Basically I want to wait on a better job offer to see if they will contact me within 1-2 weeks. If I just tell the company that I'm waiting on other offers before accepting yours, that will offend them right? I was thinking about saying something like "I'm not sure about my summer plans yet. I might take a trip" or something like that. Anyone have any thoughts on how to approach this problem?
