Krislaw,
I completely understand your situation. I went to law school as well. I worked for a solo for about 2 weeks. The guy was awful. Probably the worst boss I ever had. No mentoring, fired the previous associate without cause. So I totally understand what you are saying. I got a semi-legal job at a corporation after the solo and said forget law. I am now enrolled in an accounting program and it is a lot more humane environment. Obviously grades matter but grades and school rank are not the end all be all. Hiring is based on personality as well and accountants unlike lawyers are in demand. If you want to do accounting you may think about working in tax. As for the MIS I'm not sure. Also www.taxtalent.com is a great site to check out. Good luck.
