Law Degree but No Job |

I graduated with a B.A. in Political Science in 1999, I graduated law
>school in May 2002 and became licensed to practice law in Florida in
April
>2003. From April 2003 until December, 2005, I worked for a solo
>practioner and learned complex real estate transactions and
negotiations.
>I resigned in December 2005 due to a hostile work envionment. I
have
>been searching for an attorney position at various corporations and
large
>law firms but have not recieved any response to my
>resumes. My experience with the legal profession's hiring process is that the process is hyper-political and byzantine.
I am
>considering enrolling in courses at the local university in one of the
>following career paths: (1) accounting, or (2) management information
>systems/computer information systems. I do not want to enroll in
classes
>only to discover, as I know now with my law degree, that it is
difficult
>to find employment. I am interested in mergers and acquisitions and
tax,
>but I am under the impression that I could more easily land at least an interview with an CIS/MIS degree than with a degree in accounting or finance.
If anyone out there can give me any comments or suggestions I would be most appreciative.
