It's good that you're starting to think about these things, but you're stressing way too much (and about the wrong things) for a guy who's about to enter college.
What do you like to do? Most engineers do well, and it's a good background for lots of other things, such as finance and intellectual property law. If you don't like numbers, though, you're going to be miserable for the next four years, and you probably won't do very well. Picking a major based solely on what you think it'll help you earn is a sure route to disaster.
As a general rule, if you want to work internationally, you should learn a foreign language and learn it well.
As a final note, salaries change frequently. Computer science was hot when I was an undergrad, but now those guys are getting outsourced to India. It's all the more reason to get a well rounded education rather than focussing on one thing because you think it'll land you some cash.
If you tell us more about yourself (interests and skills), we'll be able to give you more specific advice.

well the problem is i grew up in a very wealthy area and i feel like if i live an average life its gonna be hard to adjust...i really enjoy the idea of working on military weapons or systems, eithe ras an engineer or someone who could be hands on. but i think that just be my little fantasy world working on a top secret missile or something...my other love is travel. i absolutely love europe and ive never been to asia but im sure id enjoy it there as well. thats where my interest in international affairs comes in (coupled with my enjoyment of politics). I turned that idea into international business for the money aspect.
was that helpful at all?
