Recently I received a gift from an employee at work for valentines day because she was my secret valentine. The item I recieved was one that we sell at my job. As I was leaving one of my managers came up to me and asked if I had a receipt to go with my package. I told her no, that it was a gift, and that I was on my way home. She told me that I should not be allowed to leave because I had no proof that I had purchased the item. A few days later, I went into work after my scheduled days off, and my other manager told me they didn't need me to work that day. The next day, I recieved a call saying that they "didn't need me to work until further notice." That was a week ago. Then today I heard that I was being fired for theft from one of my fellow employees. What should I do? I don't think my secret valentine has the reciept anymore, and I don't want either one of us to get terminated. I was still under my company's 30 day probationary hire period at the time this happened, and am the sole provider for my family. PLEASE HELP ME! |

Hi,
I read your post and I have been through the same experience at a Christmas party 2 years ago. I was upset and started looking for a new job. I finally found a job that I can be my own boss and stay home with my kids. I would be more than happy to talk to you about it and get you more information if you would like. Just email me at amybrooks2005@cox.net
Best of luck,
Amy Brooks
