In Reply To: Hi everyone, I went on an interview for a job but did not pursue it further. The job seemed great for training, experience, and work but I sensed there may be other problems, like personality/staff retention. The field I'm interested in is very hard to get a job in and in the months since that interview, I have not had other interviews in this area. Now I am thinking that I should have followed up and just sucked it up for a year or two just to get the training and experience. I don't know if I can reapproach employment with that employer now... Any advice would be helpful.
Message: Yes you can reapproach them. Just explain the situation adn say that at a time you felt this was not the right move for you. Then say you realized you were wrong and would love to get a second a chance at an interview. You would have to impress them even more then the first time though, because they already feel like they are the second best coz you didnt pick them the first time. You will have to present youself like you are the one and only and given a chance would be the best you can .Have to be honest, it will be hard to get them to offer it to you one more time (keep in mind they could have filled the position by now), but definitelly worth trying. Just do your best and good luck.
