This May I will be graduating from Penn State with a 3.95 GPA (top 0.0005% class rank), good extracurriculars and some work experience but none that is relevant. Am I too late to get a decent job in the financal services industry? Am I safe in assuming that the big firms are definitely out? If so, where should I be looking? Any specific firm recomendations? Are the lower firms on the top 50 list still hiring? Should I be looking at boutiques and if so, which ones? Also, what kind of difference in salary and bonus should I expect in comparison to the big firms? Thanks. |

The financial services is a big umbrella. Any idea of what the hell you want to do? You have a 3.95... in finance/econ/acct? or psych? Would you like to be on the buy side or sell side? Trading, personal, Ibank, PE, hedge, consulting? Lots of options you need to make a plan
