...congratulate yourself.
there is nothing wrong with the path you've taken, and the very last job you want to apply for is waiting tables.
prepare to FOCUS ... if law is what you want to pursue, step over to the message board on Vault for legal professionals and post some questions. I have no interest in the law, aside from abiding
by it, and even I took a look around. Very helpful, knowledgable people.
By the time I reached my mid-twenties I worked in and studied for a variety of fields. You're young. Your brain will never be this maleable again, enjoy it. That said, all your efforts need to be directed toward an end-point. Regardless of how sporadic they may seem, things come together in the end.
Good Luck.

Yes, this is the typical mind set of a recruiter and future employer, that you potentially look like a job hopper. The flip side of the coin is that companies are filing bankruptcy and downsizing like crazy. I've had five jobs in the last five years, all due to companies going bankrupt, lying or not knowing their own requirements, or downsizing due to the economy. At least you have many skills that you can use in a variety of positions. It could be much worse, you could be stuck in a profession or skill that's basically obsolete, or have worked several years at one company without formal education. Good luck.
