what does it mean when they remove the job posting? |

I had my 3rd interview 2 weeks ago and i was told 3 days ago that they had not yet reached a decision. I checked the corp. web site, however , and the job posting was removed as of yesterday. Does that mean they've hired someone? Does it mean they are ready to make a decision? I called to follow up yesterday, but I haven't heard back. Do corp. recruiters typically call back with a rejection or will they make me wait for the dreaded letter?
