If your firm had a bad reputation or is known to be unethical, this will be a problem. Especially, in Finance, where reputation is everything. |

The problem is not so much ethics, it more the a-hole factor. The head of the company I work for is a number 1 a-hole. To him its 1973, not 2003. He actually told one of the junior people that she did not need an MBA in this industry. He is an arrogant and rude person. And sadly you are known by the company you keep.
I would love to know what other bankers at his level think of him.
