Message: Hi everyone, I am just about done with my PhD program and I??m considering leaving academia but I don??t know were I would fit and whether or not my skills will be in demand in the private sector. I have a BS in Chemistry and an MS/PhD in psychology from an ivy league institution. My training is in psychometrics, statistics, and research design. I have spent the last four years working at a national research center. I??ve made a dozen or so presentations and published a half dozen or so journal article. I was told that marketing research would fit my research training, I was also thinking of finding a position with a large consulting firm, but I am uncertain of long-term prospects (partnership?) without having an MBA. If anyone has any insight as to where I would be in most demand and how to best market myself for such a position, I would to hear from you
