I agree with the other posters. There's a false notion that in January/February, companies' budgets are fresh, and, therefore, it is the best time of the year for hiring. It's also commonly stated that September is sort of a second peak in hiring due to companies wanting to hire before their over-budgets are noticed for the year.
Last year, I actually had the most nibbles on my resume during the November/December time frame! The point is not keep up the job search at a steady pace, and don't get excited or have high expectations in the Jan/Feb or Sept. timeframes. :) |

Thanks for the info. This is probably as good as it gets until next April or May. I'm going to try to hang in as long as I can. It's hard to search for a job in this economy when you work 10-12 hours per day. Also, one poster commented get a temporary job to get your foot in the door. I've thought of that including contract work, but not ready to jump the ship because I'm making decent money.
