I have 25-years in my profession and a 49 I am not quite a dinosaur but I am not getting any interviews let alone offers despite hits on Monster and e-mails from recruiters.
At this point I am just going to bide my time for 13 more years ang pull the pin. I've worked for too many pointy haired bosses and feel as though even if it is a little difficult my wife and I want to enjoy ourselves. |

Wow, you would think a person at 49 is considered in their career prime wouldn't you?
The lack of response may have nothing to do with yrs. of experience or age...maybe it's your marketing materials (resumes, cover letters, etc.)
The mission of the resume is to make the phone ring, right? If you're phone isn't ringing, your resume isn't doing it's job.
