Job offer revoked upon high salary expectation? |

I was just giving an example. I'm in Europe and I gave a random number in $ so you guys can estimate if a 5k$ increase was reasonable.
However, is really 60k$ a good offer in USA? That's pretty low in my opinion, considering the prestige of ACN and the hours put into the job. Isn't 60k the national average for graduates? |

depends on the industry. for wall street people 55K base is standard then a large bonus, and that is probably one of the most highly paid entry level jobs. It all depends on what industry. People here in NYC doing advertising will make 30 - 35k their first year, whereas an investment banker may make 70-80k.
These are the two ends of the spectrum. In the midwest you will be happy if you can get a job for >40k after graduation. My friend who just started with ACN got a 50k offer, which he says is pretty standard there. In the overall job market here, I don't think many people are making 60k straight out of school
