I've just gotten an internal transfer from the commercial banking unit to the IB unit of my bank. However, to my surprise, my employer has decided not to adjust my salary at all. In short, I'll be doing IB hours while being compensated with a commercial banker's pay.
I was told by the MD that HR beleives that I should not get a pay hike so soon (i joined the bank less than half a year ago) just because I got an internal transfer. Am I being shafted here. What can I do to salvage the situation
