Hi SixyCent,
What do you mean, "let go"? Were you employed by this company? Did you spend time behind the desk or did you only have a verbal offer from a recruiter? Would this company appear on your resume? If so, I may have misread your original question.
I'm curious. Why are you hanging onto this one offer/company as if no others exist for you out there? Is this the only offer you've received in your search? How long have you been searching?
Why continue to deal with HR? You aren't making any progress it sounds like. Now they've resorted to dodging you. Is this really the kind of company you want to work for?
Regardless, the answers you seek lie in the decision makers hands. If you insist this is the best and only opportunity for you at this point in your career, then refocus your attention to the decision maker. He will be most impressed with your professional background, he will understand how you fit into his team and how you solve his problems. He needs to make a decision on you based on your credentials and your presentation. Ultimately, he will decide if you get hired or not.
Stop wasting time with HR.
Make sense?
Andrea

I guess have might have worded that wrong. I don't know what to call it but my offer was rescinded. I never started a day.
I guess the only reason why I'm hanging on to this company is because I turned down everything else to go to it. Also, I plan to go B-school later and work at a Fortune 500 Company (also BIg 4 in its industry) would really look good on my resume. Finally, most companies aren't hiring right now and won't start again until the fall.
The only reason why I keep dealing with the HR is because I think they're the one controlling the position. I've talked to a few partners at the firm that want me on their team but they give my resume to the HR dept and everything stops. It seems like they're might be some red flag on my name that prevents me from being employed there.
I'm actually looking at other firms but things are just slow right now. Also, it's hard to get an interview with a firm when you're out of town.
