I've got the same type of a question in regards to providing my salary history when submitting my resume and cover letter for a position. I've heard many times that, even if requested, you should never provide salary history/requirements. However, lately, I've noticed an increasing number of job ads that state in BOLD a statement such as, "Resumes submitted without salary history will not be considered."
Should I still go through the effort of applying while trying to play the "game" of not providing this information? |

They mean it when they say they will not consider your resume. The issue is when they are reveiwinf your resume, they want to ensure that you compensation is not over the range for the role they have. So, if you put your salary requirements down, and you are flexible on salary be indicate if you realize you are paid more than the average pospulation in your field.
