Yes, if you work in I-banking and sometimes consulting, you will be chained to your desk for hours.
But most jobs, people take long coffee breaks, surf the net, and in general waste alot of time. I dont really get it either as I would like to go home at 6 if I have finished my work. Seems more of a show that you are there late rather than actually working during normal hours. Bit frustrating. |

I am in the military right now in Iraq - so I've seen how hard and draining 80+ hour weeks get, but I also witness many many new methods of "shamming" everyday. I am thinking about law school or consulting.
The worst of all the long-hours-stories came from my ibanking friends. Know how it is for the lawyers and consultants?
