Currently I have a two page resume the has education, work experience, and research experience. I am currently looking for a job doing health policy research. I have been getting mixed responses. I was told I should cut out employment to make my resume 1 page. However, I was also told that for research jobs/non-profit jobs it is okay to have a two page resume -- that it is the business field that insists 1 page resumes. Does anyone know the policy? I was told by an outplacement-assistance firm that a 2-page resume is now the standard -- unless you're fresh out of college with very little experience.
You most likely haven't had many respones for the same reason as everyone else: companies are being inundated with resumes for every single job posting.
