I have been doing computer consulting for 18 months now, and would like to get into IT Audit. I am taking the CISA in JUNE but so far have had no interest from employers in my resume. I have changed my resume multiple times, but obviously have no experience in audit. Everyone wants at least one year of IT audit / controls experience? Yeah right, when no one is willing to give you a chance! I graduated Cum Laude and thought I would have no problem landing that first great job, instead I'm going in a completely different direction and feel trapped. I'm too old to change careers again. Does anyone have any contacts for entry level IT Audit positions or something that would lead to it? |

look to the big4, i actually had an offer from one of them for the same type of work last year and it seemed like they were still aggressively looking for bodies, i'm suprised they didn't come to your school to recruit... how is the CISA exam by the way, how long does it take to prep for?
