In Reply To: I just accepted a out of state position thru recruiter. I thought most companies don't use them anymore... She was very good and been in the industry for a while. She was savvy and literally "marketed" me which I needed since I was very unfairly let go with no warning. Recruiters also got me 3 jobs in the 90's as it was way to get job back then. Most were LOUSY. 1 guy had me go to so many interviews as his approach was send as many bodies as he can in hopes of something sticking. Finally 1 company and I "stuck". Another guy was paranoid and went by multiple names. I hesitated over smaller than expected sign on bonus and get this, he gave me money along with 1099. Third was well known but declining firm in LA and the recruiter was incompetent. I got the job on my own and not with help from these 3 "headhunters". That said, I did work with very good recruiters but didn't get jobs thru them. I became good friends with couple of them. Key here is that recruiters are really sales people. I doubt they have blacklist as it's pretty darn fierce among recruiters over an opening willing to work with recruiters now days. So go find other recruiters and ask your professional contacts if they know of good recruiters. Good Luck
Message: I would like to work with some headhunters. Do you have any suggestions?
