In Reply To: I said I DID see the job posting on the Microsoft Careers site. Actually, I set up a couple of "Job Agents" on the MS site with my search criteria, and they send me notifications when a job matching my criteria is posted on the site, along with a link to the posting. I was GIVING advice to the person who posted saying they had contracts negotiation experience, which has NOTHING to do with a CONTRACT (temporary) position. Contracts negotiation is a job done by the internal MS legal group, a full time "blue badge" job. I did not suggest that they get information out of anyone at Microsoft. I suggested that, IF they had a contact there, to ask that contact to submit their resume to the hiring manager directly. You would be the last person anyone should ask for help, since you pay little attention to the information provided to you.
Message: I will look at the MS career website. I do not have any contacts there, so I guess that I am stuck with the online application and maybe a mail-in resume...hoping that it gets to the right person. Getting CONTACTS are the most difficult part of the job search!! thanks.
