In Reply To: Did you see the contract opening in MS career website? I doubt it as contract or commonly knowns as "orange" badge (vs blue for regular employee) are not posted on the MS website. What you may see is ads from temp companies on monster and other websites. If this was posted in MS career website than get the 6 digit job code. Have your internal MS contact get you the hiring manager email alias along with HR contact alias. You can send the email directly with resume as attachment. Most contract negotiation/procurement/purchasing jobs are located in Sammamish campus located about 10 miles from Redmond in Issaquah. By the way, internal MS employee are not supposed to give out the info... Good Luck PS - please don't ask me for help.
Message: I said I DID see the job posting on the Microsoft Careers site. Actually, I set up a couple of "Job Agents" on the MS site with my search criteria, and they send me notifications when a job matching my criteria is posted on the site, along with a link to the posting. I was GIVING advice to the person who posted saying they had contracts negotiation experience, which has NOTHING to do with a CONTRACT (temporary) position. Contracts negotiation is a job done by the internal MS legal group, a full time "blue badge" job. I did not suggest that they get information out of anyone at Microsoft. I suggested that, IF they had a contact there, to ask that contact to submit their resume to the hiring manager directly. You would be the last person anyone should ask for help, since you pay little attention to the information provided to you.
