I have an MBA, and a MSc in engineering. I apply to entry, mid, an executive level positions, but companies don't even call me.
Companies claim to be looking for top-notch qualifications but guys with just a BSc are the ones getting the jobs. WHY ?
This job market doesn't make sense. The message they send is " don't go to the university, it is not worthy".
Anybody going through a similar situation ???
What's wrong with corporate America. They rather hire a guy with a BSc instead of one with an MBA and for the same salary. WHY ??? |

If all you have are the degrees without work experience yet, then you're competing against candidates who have experience. You won't be as attractive, even with advanced degrees, as someone who's been in the workforce for a while.
Your university likely has a career and placement office - go to them and see what might be available as far as internships and possibly job opportunities. They are also likely to have alumni files - lists of alumni who are willing to talk to grads about their industry, their role, advice about how to break into the industry, challenges, etc. You can use these services long after you've graduated, so give it a try.
