I don't think he was really trying to "network" in the same way you were.
An e-mail couldn't hurt. But I seriously doubt it'll get more than a cursory read before it hit the recycle bin. Better than a formal letter that'll probably just hit the trash can. |

From my experience, you probably will not get much out of him. He is embarassed and would be glad to just forget the whole experience. Just imagine, he gives you his contacts and you tell them what happened. I know you probably would not, but he is scared.
Don't waste your time. Find another contact. Welcome to women's networking with men....
